Protege of Kyle Hardy and later Kodo, Logan is a supporting character that will be appearing in the fifth book of the ‘Of Scales and Fur’ saga.

Appearance
Logan is a young human with bleach blonde hair and pale skin. Due to living in rough conditions, he has a weathered look about him that makes him look older than he usually is.
He can often be distinguished by a leather biker jacket that he is rarely seen without, as well as a red bandana (a gift from his mother).
Backstory
Born to a father that abandoned him and a mother that struggles to support him, Logan learned from a very young age that the world didn’t care about him and would try to take what little he had left if he didn’t learn to fight. As a result, he has spent most of his life struggling and fighting.
He found some leeway in the form of master thief Kyle Hardy, who took pity on the boy and became a sort of father/mentor figure to him, looking after his mother as best he could and teaching Logan how to survive in the wild.
Unfortunately, Kyle could never stay in Logan’s life forever, and the day eventually came where the master thief seemed to move on for good.
But with Logan’s training to survive and fight came an unrelenting determination. One that urged Logan to go looking for his pseudo father-figure and help him if he needed it.
Logan’s search will end up leading to him finding out more about Kyle than he ever knew before, as well as discovering a new mentor that will leave a much more lasting impact on the boy.
Abilities
- Street-wise: his training under Kyle has made him adept at navigating both the streets of cities and the woods of the wild. In both cases, he’s able to spot threats and maneuver through his environment with all the skill of an experienced predator.
- Determination: Logan never gives up when he’s got his mind set on something. His willpower allows him to endure things that no normal boy should ever have to go through.
- He will also be learning a new ability from Kodo; details will be in ‘Of Scales and Fur – Phoenix’ when it’s released.
Personality
The first thing anyone will learn about Logan is that he never gives up. Stubborn and steadfast, with an iron will to survive and succeed, when Logan sets his mind to something, he rarely gives it up.
Having to fight and struggle to stay alive even from a young age has left him rather jaded and with a cynical world-view, which will shock quite a few people who see his age and assume he’s more innocent than he actually is.
Yet, despite being hardened by the world, Logan’s not entirely without his soft side. He’s got a strong fondness for animals, and is one of the humans who sympathizes with demi-wolves, seeing them as beings equal to humans. And underneath his stubborn nature is a traumatized soul who longs for a family that he can truly call his own.
And while circumstances may end up giving him a family that’s not quite what he was expecting, he may still find that wishes can come true in unexpected ways.
