The Third installment of the ‘Of Scales and Fur’ saga, the story focuses on Celine, the daughter of Shiva, as she learns what it means to be a leader and protects her pack from an old threat.
Synopsis
Outside of being a magic wolf, Celine was your classic princess; uninterested in ruling, and wanting adventure in the great wild somewhere. After all, her brother Kodo was so much better at leading and working with angry wolves; why should she steal his thunder?
Unfortunately, her question is answered when an old threat rears its head, and Celine finds herself embarking on a perilous journey to find a way to save the ones she loves. With friends rapidly becoming foes and chaos threatening to overtake the land, Celine must embrace her inner leader, discover who she really wants to be, and step up to save her family from the terrors of war, hate, and envy.

- Though action packed, this story is much more than a conflict between demi-wolves, dragons and humans. Every character, especially Celine, is fighting their own internal battle. They struggle to coexist in a world where trust has been diminished by dark magic, a thirst for power, and deception. I began rooting for Celine in the very first chapter. The wicked twists and turns in John’s writing kept me reading and cheering her on to the very end. -QuickLarry on Amazon.

- This story was inspired by the web series RWBY, and the subplot featuring Blake Belladonna and Adam Taurus, who were members of the freedom fighters turned terrorists known as the White Fang.
- Additional inspiration was taken from Brothers; A Tale of Two Sons; a similar fable about two siblings who must embark on an epic journey to find a way to save their dying parent. Though Celine and Kodo’s journey still differs greatly from the titular two sons.
